Rob’s Comedy for Conferences

Brighten your conference up with an intelligent, fresh laugh. Rob has taught Improvised Comedy at the University of Sydney for 7 years. He has directed, hosted and played in hundreds of improvised shows for nearly 15 years. His understanding of the corporate environment, along with his recent foray into stand up comedy (a state finalist in the JJJ Raw Comedy competition), make him an industry leader in the field of improvised comedy.

Product 1 – An Improvised Comedy Show.
This hurts it’s so funny. Rob and his team of improvising
comedians will give you a show that no one has ever seen before. They make it up on the spot, inspired by suggestions from your audience. The audience can even get involved. This has the ‘wow factor’ you’re looking for. Great to kick off a conference, break up a day, or as a feature act for your gala dinner. Conference objectives can be weaved into the show for a great value add.

Running time: 45 mins.

Product 2 – Team Building Comedy Workshops
Teach your team the basics of improvised comedy! This is a great team building event.Touching on themes of listening, change, the confluence of individual and team
objectives and the acceptance of others ideas, your group will laugh their way towards a richer understanding of team dynamics. Learn some basic techniques of comedy and some of the simpler improvising games during this workshop. This is great fun for participants and a brilliant way to break up your conference day.

Running Time: 90 mins and up.

Product 3 – Comedy Classes Followed by a Show.
Why not combine the above two options? After learning some of the skills during the day, members of your team can join the professionals on stage at night. A great way
to bring the event full circle and raise the stakes for participants.

Testimonial

“As for being the compere of our gala dinner and improvisation show, I must say that I have never seen our group openly laugh and obviously enjoy themselves (as well as colleagues) so much at any time previously. People talked about this for weeks after the night and I think it broke down a lot of barriers for individuals to get to know each other better. This is something that is a must do for another conference, and I couldn’t
imagine anyone better than you to run it.”
